On Mission: Building Men to Grow the Kingdom
In Trail Life's first decade, God raised up scores of noble men who blazed a path for us to follow. As we enter our second decade, we look back to pioneers who embodied the Trail Life mission even before it had a name.
These heroes serve not as memorials but as inspirations, encouraging us to build on our heritage and carry the mission forward. As Trail Life expands across the country, a growing band of brothers is faithfully living out our mission-
to guide generations of courageous young men to honor God, lead with integrity, serve others, and experience outdoor adventure.
More than any other rank or award, the Worthy Life Award focuses on the spiritual growth of our Trailmen and creates a pattern for Trailmen at every patrol level to establish their devotion time, develop spiritual disciplines, grow in discipleship, and learn to live their faith in fruitful demonstration.
Trail Life has had a tremendous impact on our church. Through outdoor adventures and Christ-centered mentorship, Trail Life USA engages men and empowers boys with the tools they need to live out their faith boldly and make a positive impact in the world.

In Trail Life, we emphasize the importance of the Patrol Method. Why is this so important? Because it works! The patrol serves as the central leadership development tool to mold men who lead with integrity.
This summer, a band of 10 boys from across the nation were selected to embark on a 107-mile paddle trip in the footsteps of Lewis and Clark down the Missouri River in Montana. The great experiment was to see if Trailmen could gather, not knowing each other or their strengths and weaknesses, and work in unity as a patrol.
"A lesson for our entire Troop has been responding when God guides us and trusting Him to make things happen. It was a lesson that each person only needs to be obedient to follow what God has put on their heart individually, and he will orchestrate the body to achieve His purpose."
- David | Troop Ministry Liason, Troop OK-2206
I can look at all the Lord has done in the life of my son. His four years of servant leadership with Trail Life USA have helped make him into the strong leader that he is today. He has learned that it is through service that one leads. He begins his college career with an incredible set of life skills because of his time in Trail Life.
- Kim | Trail Life Mom
Compelled by the love of Christ, over 110,000 men have embraced the mission and are on mission to engage generations of young men. Standing on the shoulders of giants, Trailmen are embodying the spirit of the Great Commission, reaching out, engaging their community, and raising up men who are taking the gospel to the ends of the earth as Trail Life continues to grow.
In order to reach our 10 Year Target of having a Troop within 30 miles of 90% of boys in America, we have identified 349 communities across the country that need Troops by 2031. Help us reach more boys with the mission of Trail Life. By giving $500 or more, you can give us the resources that we need to start a Troop in one of those areas.
